CPS provides a CPS request form every year during
the capital budget hearings. However, your school’s
capital needs should be reported prior to the end
of the fiscal year, since decisions for next years
Capital Improvement Program occur throughout the year.
If you choose to submit a request outside of the normal
annual budgeting period, it is often helpful to provide
a cover letter to the Chief Operating Officer (and
copying the letter to any other key CPS officials
or city representatives you have a relationship with)
recapping the request, a request for a capital status
report and the latest building assessment, and an
acknowledgement of receipt for the request. Click
